Low-Fat Yogurt

Look for yogurts that say, “live and active cultures” on the labels. Research has shown that this, in combination with the vitamin D, helps reduce your chances of getting the cold or the flu.

Garlic

This is technically a cooking herb that is good for more than keeping vampires away. Garlic is full of numerous antioxidants that are particularly good at helping the immune system fight a bacteria that has been linked to ulcers and stomach cancer.
